Thrive Spice is an antimicrobial powerhouse with a huge list of additional benefits for your health and wellness.

The incredible blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and ginger possess antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cancer-fighting, antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties. As your body receives the active constituents found in these herbs on a daily, they will roam the body killing off bad bacteria, fungi, parasites and microbes.

Each herb that is in the Thrive Spice has been specially chosen for their unique antimicrobial properties and additional benefits. Let’s have a look closer at each one.

Cinnamon: Cinnamon contains high amounts of potent polyphenol antioxidants which have been shown to inhibit the growth of certain bacteria including Listeria and Salmonella. Its antimicrobial properties are thanks to its active constituent called cinnamaldehyde which also reduces tooth decay and bad breath caused by infections. Other benefits of cinnamon are improving insulin sensitivity, increasing blood, decreasing obesity and improving antioxidants. 

Nutmeg: Nutmeg is a powerhouse for antimicrobial actions. Its volatile essential oil and various extracts including polyphenols, flavonoids and phenolic acids have shown to have antimicrobial action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is considered to be a significant natural source of antioxidants and antimicrobials. 

Clove: Clove is one of the most potent natural antimicrobials in the world. Its active compounds of phenols have shown to inhibit the growth of moulds, yeasts and bacteria. It also improves digestion and boosts immunity.

Ginger: Ginger contains gingerol, a powerful substance that holds many medicinal properties. Ginger is extremely beneficial at improving hydrochloric acid production and stimulating digestive enzymes.

 

Thrive Spice Recipe


Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp nutmeg, ground

  • 3 tbsp Ceylon cinnamon, ground

  • 2 tbsp clove, ground

  • 3 tbsp ginger, ground

 

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a large shaker bottle and shake well

  2. Add 1 teaspoon into your daily diet

  3. It tastes great with stewed apples, over granola, coconut yoghurt, smoothies, chickpeas, curry and much more!
