FLAXSEEDS ARE LOADED WITH NUTRIENTS AND ARE SURPRISING YUMMY AS PANCAKES!

They contain a high amount of Omega-3 fats which are great for reducing acne and they contain a high amount of lignans. Lignans have anti-estrogenic properties that mimic estrogen and bind to estrogen receptors. This can help old synthetic estrogen from hormonal birth control to be pushed off receptors and cleared out of your body, therefore, help to rebalance your natural hormonal profile.

Tip: Buy flax seeds whole and blitz them into a fine meal just before cooking. This will guarantee that all the essential fats and nutrients are obtained in the meal and not lost in the processing.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup of flaxseeds (blended into a meal)

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 tbsp of unsweetened almond milk

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

  • Stevia drop to sweeten

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients into a bowl until sticky. Add more almond milk if needed.

  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a teaspoon of coconut oil or ghee

  3. Pour about ¼ of cup batter for each pancake and spread with a spoon. Flip after 2-3 minutes. Cook opposite side 2-3 minutes,

  4. Serve with fresh berries or dollop of coconut yogurt. Serves 1
